This truly stunning four day walk through the Marlborough Sounds is known as one of New Zealand's most picturesque. Begin your trip with a scenic boat ride from Picton to the start of your walk at Motuara Island. Explore the bush-clad shorelines, deep bays and coves, historical landmarks and wonderful variety of native bush and wildlife. All you need to carry is a day pack, as your luggage is transported to your accommodation each day by boat. Your first nights accommodation is at Furneaux Lodge in Endeavour Inlet after a 15km walk. Day two is a gentle 11.7km walk from Endeavour Inlet to Punga Cove Resort. Day three will be the longest day, with a 23.6km walk to The Portage Resort in Kenepuru Sounds. Day four will provide spectacular views as you climb the main ridge between Queen Charlotte and Kenepuru Sounds covering a distance of 20.7kms, on your way to Anakiwa. Once at Anakiwa you will be transported back to Picton by water taxi.
