Enjoy a unique getaway to your very own Lakeside retreat, located in a tranquil, park-like setting. Wai (Water) Hou (Fresh) Oma (Escape) Lodge is a short 25 minute drive from Dargaville and located adjacent to the sparkling clear fresh waters of Kai Iwi Lakes. On arrival you will be treated to a welcome drink & snack while you meet your friendly hosts and shown to your lovely studio lodge, canter levering off their little lake. After you have settled in, unpacked and prised yourself away from the lovely lake views, enjoy a leisurely three course dinner with wine or beer and an after dinner drink. After dinner you may wish to relax in the lakeside spa gazebo, watch a DVD in the newly constructed home theatre (on request) or simply retire to the comfort and privacy of your Lakeside accommodation. In the morning enjoy a full breakfast with the whole day at your leisure. You may wish to make use of the kayaks or bicycles on hand or visit the Matakohe Kauri Museum (tickets included) and Tane Mahuta (Lord of the Forest). Dinner tonight has been left free for you to experience a local restaurant, takeaways or perhaps cook something yourself as your studio lodge is self-contained. A late check out in the morning ensures you have plenty of rest before your drive home.
